In the first quarter of 2022, the top Art and Design apps on the Android platform in Saudi Arabia demonstrated notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Canva: Design, Art & AI Editor maintained a strong presence with consistent weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 22.7K in the week of February 7. Revenue saw fluctuations but reached its highest at about $1.96K in the final week of February. Active users also showed a steady increase, starting from 46.0K at the beginning of the quarter and ending at 54.5K by the end of March.

ibis Paint X experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting from 17.7K in early January and dropping to 6.6K by the end of March. Revenue also saw a downward trend, with the highest weekly revenue being $76 at the start of the quarter and decreasing to $19 by the end of March. Despite these declines, the app maintained a relatively stable number of active users, hovering around 186K towards the end of the quarter.

Sketchbook showed a significant drop in weekly downloads, from 9.3K in mid-January to just 796 by the end of March. Active users also decreased from 35.4K in mid-January to 22.6K at the end of the quarter. However, the app did not generate any revenue during this period.

Revenue trends were relatively stable with a slight peak at approximately $208 in the week of March 21. Active users began at 7.9K in early January but dropped to around 3.2K by the end of March.
